Practice Update

These last 9 years of practice at IBS & Gut Microbiome Solutions have been the happiest of my nearly 50 years serving as a gastroenterologist. My intention has been to continue for at least several more years.

Despite never smoking, I have been diagnosed with lung cancer (adenocarcinoma). Surgery in February removed all evident cancer. However, I will be taking adjuvant chemotherapy for the next 3 months with the intent of increasing likelihood of cure.

I will continue to care for my existing patients but, unfortunately, I must stop seeing new patients in order to focus on my own health.

I will re-evaluate my commitment to my practice in late July following completion of treatment. In the meantime, if you are already an established patient, please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you need me.

As always, I strongly recommend that you read my book, You’re on FIRE, if you have not already done so.

Take care of yourselves,
William B. Salt II, MD

Now we have scientific evidence that digestive disorders can be identified noninvasively and successfully treated using breath, blood, and stool testing.

There are few practitioners who are skilled and experienced in this exciting, burgeoning field.

I am one of them.

When digestive disorders are left untreated, your gut protects and defends by igniting an immune-mediated inflammation. Unfortunately, the intestinal fire burns out of control contributing to major gut symptoms. Even more unfortunately …
